JEFF (JEFFREY) WOLFE

January 5, 1962 – April 8, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband and father, Jeff (Jeffrey) Wolfe, at our home in Winnipeg.

Jeff is lovingly remembered by his wife, Kelly; and his son, Ryan. He is also survived by his sisters, Michele and Sandra; his brother, Mike; his brother and sister-in-law, Russ and Patsy; and his sister-in-law, Susan. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, including Chelsea (Paul), Brittnee, Alexa, Jason (Alison), Kevin, and Greg (Rae-Lynne), as well as his great-nieces and nephews, extended family, and many friends. Jeff was predeceased by his parents, John and Isadora.

Born and raised in Charleswood, Jeff’s early years were filled with stories of mischief and laughter alongside his brother Mike— including legendary pen fights, epic games of hide and seek, and many other memories that remained close to him throughout his life.

Jeff began his career working in the family business, JAW Enterprises (Duraco Windows), where he developed a strong work ethic that stayed with him throughout his life. From building to installing windows, this is where he began his career in sales. He went on to spend many years in the building industry, including roles in sales and management with Tri-Tec Drywall Services and Patene Building Supplies, before retiring several years ago. Jeff had great memories of the many trips, especially the salmon fishing trips to the Queen Charlotte Islands. In business he was known for his straightforward approach and strong leadership which was always accompanied by that great sense of fun.

Jeff married the love of his life, Kelly, and were together for 40 years, navigating all of life’s ups and downs together with so many plans for the future. They saw themselves as a team and told themselves that together – they could do anything. When Ryan was born, the team grew and the same philosophy endured. Jeff was immensely proud of Ryan; nothing meant more to him than the time they spent together. From building the gazebo, golfing, fishing, fixing up the Jeep, to seeing Ryan graduate University and watching him at work with the Spruce Kings, these moments were among his greatest joys, and he would tell whoever wanted to listen about him.

Jeff loved the outdoors, life at the cabin, time on the water, splitting wood, snowmobiling, or just puttering and building. From helping to build his parents’ cabin to eventually buying and working on his own, this was Jeff’s happy place and where he felt the most content, especially with Kelly and Ryan. Some of his most cherished moments were simply spent by the fire or at sunset on the pontoon boat. Crib games were always a highlight, beginning with his well-known declaration— “Everyone’s a winner”—setting the tone for evenings filled with laughter and good times.

To know Jeff was to know his never-ending sense of fun and mischief as well as his smile, and warmth. Playful, and always with a twinkle in his eye, he kept you on your toes with his dry wit and humour.

Jeff brought optimism and laughter into every day, always wanting the best for those around him. He encouraged you to think bigger and believe that anything was possible, always in a grounded and practical way, and would stand firmly and silently by your side to watch you get there. More importantly, Jeff was authentic, loyal, and a man of true character and integrity. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave.
